| NEARBY Wine tasting – hundreds of local vineyards as well as the more famous area of St Emilion just 40 minutes away - guided tours of local vineyards available. There are at least four vineyards within a 15 minute walk of the property. 
The Bastides – centuries-old towns with arched central squares. The nearest are Eymet, Ste Foy la Grande and Monségur.
The Dordogne and its châteaux at Beynac, Biron, amongst others.
Markets – including the favourite on Sunday morning at Issigeac. A perfect mix of wine, fruit, vegetables and local produce, a bit of bric-a-brac and other delights within the beautiful mediaeval town. Producers' Markets - Sunday mornings under the lime trees in Soumensac! From early July until the end of August join the locals for lunch at long trestle tables with a view to the Pyrenees to die for. Stall holders from the area with wine, duck, salads, frites, raspberries - even snails. Unforgettable! 
Antiques, Bric a Brac - locally called vide grenier literally meaning empty your attic. There are lots during the summer where you can pick up bargains.
Tennis– courts at St Sernin – 20 minutes. Golf – Château des Vigiers – a country-club style course 10 minutes by car.http://www.vigiers.com
Water parks – within a 10-minute drive, with everything to keep them amused.
Cycling – long empty roads and cross country tracks – I can hire bikes for you or take a look at this site http://www.themountainbikehirecompany.co.uk/
Rambling – marked routes through vineyards, fields and woods – directly from the house and dozens more within 10 minutes drive.
Horse riding – there is a riding school and pony club at the bottom of the road. Canoeing – on the Dordogne, the Visere and in Eymet on the Dropt.
Eating – there are so many restaurants – prices from 13€ to 60€. We are both accomplished cooks and will happily prepare a meal for your arrival and during your stay.
